Rachel & Rodney : Anytime

I held my very first giveaway back in January…do you remember? It seems like it was sooooo long ago! I was thrilled with how many people participated and I’m super excited to finally be able to share this session with you

I met with Rodney and Rachel a few weeks ago on a very HOT day…it was 94 degrees when I left my house YUCK!! I’m one of those people that would rather be cold than hot. Which do you prefer?? Umm back to the point Jessica! We arrived at the cove only to find that it was FREEZING and WINDY!! I thought it was going to start pouring on us! Only in SoCal right?!

By the end of our shoot, Rachel’s curls had fallen, my hair was so frizzy I was affraid to look in the mirror, and all of our noses were running! It was that cold people!! Rachel and Rodney were troopers during the whole shoot and I couln’t be happier with their photos

Erik : Senior

I have to admit, prior to Erik’s session I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone. This was my very first solo male portrait session. Sure, I’ve photographed plenty of guys, but never a solo session. When I saw Erik walking towards me holding an acoustic bass guitar, a mandolin, and a longboard, those feelings quickly vanished. I couldn’t wait to start shooting!

I had so much fun during this session and I’m looking forward to photographing more males in the future.

Erik is graduating later this month and I have no doubt he will accomplish anything he puts his mind to. He’s insanely gifted and I felt honored to photograph such an exciting time in his life.

Cat & Alex : Wedding : Avia Hotel & Recreation Park Golf Course, Long Beach

Ahhh! Can you believe April is here already?! Shame.on.me. I haven’t blogged in soooo long! It’s good to be back and I’m excited to share this post with you!

Back in February I got to assist my girl Candice again…enjoy

Within minutes of meeting Cat she told me she’d be referring to me as Bubbles for the remainder of the day. I knew then that it was going to be an awesome day. When Candice told me that Cat and Alex would be making a screwdriver during their wedding ceremony I knew it was going to be even more awesome…Obvi! I mean, who doesn’t like nicknames and ~~vodka~~ orange juice!?

Happy Birthday, My Love!

Today my beautiful husband-to-be turns another year older- the big three ohhhhh! We’ve been together for 12 years and I still get butterflies when I see him. I know I’m lucky, lucky that I get to wake up next to him every morning. He’s kind of my favorite

Thank you for letting me fall asleep first after a scary movie. Thank you for the random forehead kisses. Thank you for being the 10 to my 14. Thank you for saying my cooking is the best. Thank you for doing the laundry (we both know you do it the best). Thank you for being you! I don’t know where I’d be without you and I can’t even imagine a life without you in it. I love you more than life and need you even more.
